Curtains Up! Interior Furnishings is a premium supplier for decorative fabric and soft furnishing requirements. Since our establishment in 1995, we have specialised in Curtains, Blinds, Furniture, Re-Upholstery and all forms of Window Treatments and Soft-Furnishings. We also have a vast selection of decorative wallpapers of the highest quality.

The core team at Curtains Up! is comprised of Interior Decorator and Proprietor Simone Messina, Interior Designer Kate Spraggon and Interior Decorator Jenni Mony. Together with a combined experience of over 90 years in decorating homes, make in -home consultations on all forms of soft furnishings. The team at Curtains Up! endeavours to help you procure the most decorative furnishings, and is ever willing to give advice about all the nuances of decorating your home.

It is our eye for detail and our ability to cater to our clients' requirements that keeps us ahead of our competitors. We offer our personal insights to every customer, helping them select the right colours, fabrics and furnishings to work with the look we create especially for them, be it bright and contemporary or classic. We assist clients with all stages of decorating their home with soft furnishings.

At Curtains Up!, we supply a large selection of window treatments. These include Curtains, Roman Blinds, Roller Blinds, Shutters, Timber Venetians and Motorised Blinds and Curtains. All soft furnishings are also custom made and include Pelmets, Bedheads, Bedspreads, Bedlinen and Cushions. Curtains Up! offers an excellent Re-Upholstery service.

We also supply Furniture , Custom made Rugs, Artwork and have an Interior Decorating Service.

Simone was born and raised in Melbourne and was educated at Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak, achieving the HSC in 1986.

She pursued tertiary qualifications in Applied Art at The Melbourne College of Decoration, graduating in 1988.

After graduating, Simone joined David Jones' Interior Decorating Showroom. There she gained enough experience and confidence to spread her wings and venture into High Street, Armadale, the home of Melbourne's most prestigious Interior Design and Interior Decorating showrooms.

At Royale Interiors Armadale, Simone developed her love for colour and texture. Soon she established her reputation as a successful Interior Decorator.

In 1994 Simone moved to Sydney where she worked for some of Sydney's high profile Interior Decorators. Eventually she decided she was no longer interested in working for others and was drawn to the challenge and stimulation of running her own business. In 1999, she purchased Curtains Up! Interior Furnishings in Manly Vale. In 2018, Curtains Up started trading on the Central Coast - based in Terrigal.

She and her business won a succession of business and industry awards:

In 2002 the Soft Furnishings Industry Association (SFIA) "Pride of Workmanship Award" was awarded to Curtains Up! Interior Furnishings for the best metropolitan retail company.
In 2003 Simone won the SFIA "Pride of Workmanship Award" for best Interior Decorator.
Curtains Up! Interior Furnishings was a finalist in the Northern Beaches Business Awards for outstanding home furnishings in 2005-2008, 2017, 2019- 2023.
2014- Outstanding Business Person of the Year - Finalist Simone Messina- 2014.
Nominated for Telstra Womens Business Awards and for Telstra Australian Business Awards.
